Work Visits

Walking up those red steps was a little blonde haired girl and a brown haired girl. Shortly behind them was a woman carrying a smiling baby with a bow in her red hair. They burst through the door and screamed, “KAITE!”

Madi, the brown haired one, had a glove on her left hand and an interesting sleeve over her latest graft sight just under her armpit on the inside of her arm. They both ran around my desk and gave the biggest hugs they could manage. Mom stayed at the front while ran to announce to my bosses that they had arrived. Like they always do.

“I thought she wasn’t going to need a sleeve there?” I asked my sister.

Madi ran up right behind me right as she answered with, “No; she needs to go in for another surgery soon.” I look to Madi, she tries to be strong and just shrugs like its no big deal.
